Vital Signs – September 30th 2008

Introduction
The introduction showed the key matches from last week’s Vital Signs including Bobby Azula capturing the **** Championship and Luke Knight successfully defending the UK Championship before moving on to depict Morgan Jones beating Drake Daniels for the Mystery Championship. The final clip package shows Matt Marvel winning the Elite Championship before fading out.

Jack Purcell vs. Drake Daniels
The match began with both men locking up, and the opening chaining showed the two men as even before Purcell managed to slam Daniels into the top turnbuckle, and he dominated from that point onwards, using a sunset flip bomb to get the two-count before nailing the Highlight Reel onto a steel chair for the win.

Jeremy Vaan vs. Joey Daniels
Both men began the match looking to get a good footing in HIW after both suffering losses last week, however Deka Zukito ran to the ring, nailing Vaan with the Deka Driver and delivered the Curbstomp to Joey Daniels, causing the match to be a double knockout.

David Draymin vs. Dragon Demonico
An impressive debut from Dragon Demonico saw a ****-esque match as Demonico brought in a series of weapons to attack Draymin with. A Jawbreaker using a steel chair saw a two-count, and a shooting star press to the outside also gained a near fall, however it was the shooting star press with a thumbtacked steel chair that finally took Draymin out of the equation.

Scorpio vs. Luke Knight vs. Bobby Azula
All three men put in a highly impressive performance in this triple threat, which saw all of them almost get the win. The first major spot saw a double clothesline from Knight and Azula to Scorpio, sending him out of the ring before the two turned on each other, and Azula managed to lock Knight in the Perseverance, however Scorpio managed a springboard dropkick to stop Knight from tapping out. Scorpio then went to work on Azula, taking him down with Greetings From Kensington, before he and Knight locked up and went hard at it. Azula then went up top as Knight held Scorpio down, however Scorpio managed to pull Knight in just in time as Azula hit the Saved By Grace. As Azula attempted to reconcile with Knight, Scorpio pulled him around, nailing the Paparazzi Flash and covering him to get the win.

Matt Marvel vs. Morgan Jones
An extremely even match saw the two top champions in HIW go at it in an epic match. The beginning was an even affair as the two locked up, each taking each other to the extreme with a series of hard hitting moves such as DDTs and back suplexes before Jones managed to get the upper hand with a Cymru DDT, sending the elite champion over the top rope and to the outside, and as soon as he got to his feet, Jones threw himself over the top, nailing a vaulting body press for a two count. The two then went at it on the outside, and Marvel managed to nail a TKO onto the barrier, however Jones fell into the crowd before Marvel could go for the pin, and as he stood up he nailed the elite champion with a lariat, sending him back to ringside. The two then began to fight it out at ringside, throwing the each other against the steel stairs and ring poles before an attempt at the Cyrchu y Poen was reversed into the Marvel Madness on the steel stairs base to gift Marvel the win.

Ending
Marvel celebrated on the ramp and stage with his Elite Championship before the doors hissed open and Johnny Styles stepped out, staring down with Marvel and he pointed at the Elite Championship and then himself to end the show.
